The NCA have secured £9000 from the ERDF Access Fund to pay for preparatory reports that will be required for the development of their new eco business park. Stephanie Allan the NCA Project Development Worker said “this is the first funding bid I have completed on behalf of the NCA and I am very excited that it has been accepted”.
The bulk of the funding will pay for a BREEAM Assessment. BREEAM (BRE Environmental Assessment Method) is the leading and most widely used environmental assessment method for buildings. It sets the standard for best practice in sustainable design and has become the de facto measure used to describe a building's environmental performance.
The Third Sector ERDF Access Fund, offers grants of between £2,000 and £10,000, to third sector organisations in Yorkshire and The Humber, has been created drawing resources from the ERDF Programme’s technical assistance budget. The fund is delivered locally throughout the region by the Yorkshire Community Foundations.
The funding has been made available to help Third Sector organisations prepare themselves to make bids for larger sums from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
