More than four months after the old showroom went up in flames Bradford East MP David Ward & NCA Director John Rawnsley officially opened the new and improved unit in Rockwell Lane, Thorpe Edge.

The steel framed showroom was lifted onto the site which is leased to the Newlands Furniture Service by the Newlands Community Association.

Yesterday marked a triumphant return to business for manager Brenda rhodes and her staff.

Brenda said "It's been a struggle but hopefully this new building will help get us back on track".
